Contemporary visual arts?

What we know about contemporary visual arts is that future generations will have a very different view of what is artistically important. It seems obvious that the renaissance in Maori art will most likely be seen as significant. But we might be surprised. Some things that we don't regard as art maybe will be in the future. So the task of being a city art gallery is enormously challenging. But challenging us is one of the tasks of contemporary art.
